My name is Duy, a food and travel photographer based in Adelaide,
Highly acclaimed Adelaide Photographer, Duy Dash is known for his work as an Adelaide Food Photographer, Adelaide Food Stylist & Adelaide Travel Photographer.
I’m Duydash, known most of all as a freelance food photographer. As a result of a lot of hard work, international brands have published by work such as Global Traveler Magazine, The Telegraph and most notably, Time. While food is my speciality, recently though I’ve branched out and become known by some as a freelance lifestyle and travel photographer as well.
While food has for a long time been a passion of mine, that was due to my time working front of house staff in some Adelaide restaurants and hotels. I love the passion everyone has in the field, first of all the concentration to also the execution of some chefs I’ve worked with. It really blows my mind, not to mention some plating techniques have been out of this world. As a Food Photographer I feel it’s really up to me to make these dishes shine. It’s about translating how a dish looks on the table through a lens and transforming it into pixels.
One of the best projects was photographing for Canon Australia in Western Australia. While over there, I had the pleasure of meeting Marco Pierre White, one of the most noteworthy characters in industry I now work in.
Experienced Adelaide Photographer. Adelaide Food Photographer, Adelaide Food Stylist & Adelaide Travel Photographer.
Beyond being a Food Photographer, recently I’ve spent plenty of time developing and honing my skills in trying to become an Adelaide Food Stylist as well. Having won a few awards, most notably a national ice cream styling competition judged by Neil Perry, George Calombaris and Matt Moran. This year, I probably would love to expand what I do to Singapore because it’s a place where food is loved above all else. There’s so much diversity in the Singaporean food scene, from street food all the way to high end fine dining. It’s just a city that has it all.
I like what I do. It’s a great industry to work in. Furthermore, my success is due to the talented people I’ve had the chance to work with. There aren’t that many industries where it seems like everyone is working to the same goal as much as hospitality. Finally, just maybe I’ve found what I was meant to do in life.
