International multi award-winning food, travel photographer and artistic content producer Duy Dash has built a strong career and personal presence in South Australia. Through his skilful photography and willingness to innovate, create and collaborate with brands on set, his style of photography has become synonymous with evoking an emotional response with the audience.

Starting his career in business and having been accepted into postgraduate studies at the University of Stanford in California, Duy craved a more creative industry, so quit his job and spent a year travelling and immersing himself in the food culture of South East Asia.

During this time, Duy started a photographic journal of his adventures through his Instagram page @duydash. He captured glistening sunsets, stunning beaches, and fresh, vibrant food and what simply started as a creative outlet soon became the springboard to a career as one of South Australia’s most sought-after food and travel photographers.

Arriving back in Adelaide in 2015, Duy’s photography career kicked off, some of his first clients were Opinion Media, Canon Australia and Time (NYC). Some of his most memorable experiences have been photographing the first class and business class menus for Singapore Airlines, shooting in the Flinders Ranges with the South Australian Tourism Commission, and creating a giant cheese toasty using an entire loaf of bread for CheeseFest Australia.

His portfolio of clients includes global brands such as Goodman Fielder, Pernod Ricard, South Australian Tourism Commission, The Telegraph (UK), Global Traveller (NYC), Time and Canon.

In 2017, he won the prestigious food photography competition hosted by Restaurant and Catering Australia, which now sees his winning work adorn the walls of Parliament House in Canberra.

Most recently, Duy placed second in the international Food Photographer of the Year Awards 2019 for the Intercontinental Food at the Table category, standing out in a pool of 9,000 entries and 150 finalists. Having photographed close to 1000 restaurants in less than four years, Duy entered into this category to showcase his career and personal passion for food.
